MEGAKOM Development Consultants was established in 1997 as the first, non-Budapest based regional development consultancy company providing a wide range of consulting services in the whole territory of Hungary. It was founded by experts, who had been engaged in regional and economic development at several organisations since the end of 1980's.

The company, which recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of its launch, operates offices in Budapest and Nyíregyháza, Hungary and Satu Mare, Romania.
